The MDOT COMMS A30-1400 is a single-band TDD video and data link for medium- and long-range UAV systems. Its radio architecture uses 2T2R RF chains, with 30 dBm (1 W) transmit power and a customizable 1335–1475 MHz operating band. It supports 10 / 20 MHz channel bandwidths and BPSK, QPSK, 16QAM and 64QAM modulation. Maximum throughput is greater than 20 Mbps, with latency ≤10 ms and AES encryption. The approximately 30 km communication distance is qualified by ideal line-of-sight conditions.
For physical integration, the unit measures 80.2 × 60.7 × 17 mm and weighs 100 g. Its connections comprise two MMCX RF ports, one power interface, one Ethernet interface, one TTL/RS232 interface and one SBUS/TTL interface. Supply requirements are DC 9–26 V, with a typical operating point of 12 V @ 1.2 A and power draw ≤15 W. The temperature range is -40 °C to +75 °C. Network options include P2P, star and Mesh, alongside spectrum monitoring and smart frequency selection.
