Product overview
The Maytech MT120A-SBEC-FP32 Falcon Pro is a brushless electronic speed controller intended primarily for RC airplanes, with helicopter, aerobatic and racing-airplane applications also listed. Its control architecture combines a 32-bit microcontroller, Maytech FP series firmware and a separate voltage regulator IC for the microcontroller. The controller provides a 120A continuous-current rating and a 140A burst-current rating. Its electrical configuration also includes a 5.5V/8A BEC and support for LiPo batteries with 2–8 cells.
For installation planning, the ESC has a stated size of 50*31mm and a net weight of 80g. Configuration is available through Trx or an optional Maytech programming card, so the card should be treated as an accessory. Motor direction can be changed by swapping two of the three ESC wires or through the programming card. Low-voltage, blocked-rotation and signal-loss protections are provided, together with a startup function that prevents the motor from starting when the battery is connected, regardless of throttle-stick position.
