The MAD X5230 IPE V1.0 is a long-shaft motor intended for eVTOL airplane drones, with a 230KV winding option. Its motor dimensions are 60 mm in diameter by 116.5 mm, and its shaft diameter is 10 mm. For installation, the configuration specifies an M8 nut for propeller attachment and two motor mounting patterns: four M4 holes on a 30 mm diameter and four M4 holes on a 44 mm diameter. These dimensions define the mechanical interfaces for integrating the motor into an aircraft propulsion assembly.
The motor has 14 pole pairs, an anticorrosive stator and centrifugal heat dissipation. Its wire varnish is rated at 220°C; that figure applies to the varnish rather than establishing an operating temperature for the complete motor. Other specifications include IP35 protection, rotor balance of ≤5 mg and motor balance of ≤10 mg. Electrical connections use 100 mm black silicone cables in 14 AWG, making cable length and routing relevant considerations when positioning the motor within the airframe.
