Product overview
The MAD AMPX 120A (5-18S) Drone BLDC ESC is a brushless motor speed controller for integration into a drone propulsion system. Its supported electrical input spans 5–18S and 16–80 V, defining the battery and voltage range for integration. The product configuration is V2.0, with the CAN-equipped version recommended. DroneCAN and CyphalCAN are offered as CAN type choices, making the communication variant a specific selection when specifying the controller.
V2.0 combines RPM and CAN throttle control with upgradeable firmware. Its CAN connection communicates voltage, current, temperature and operating status to the flight controller in real time, supporting integration of propulsion telemetry into aircraft control electronics. The BEC output is specified at 5 V/200 mA, which sets the stated auxiliary supply capacity. Overload protection includes unlimited automatic restart.
