Product overview

The Kpower DF4220 is a brushless propulsion motor for 13–15 inch FPV drones used in racing, freestyle flying and aerial photography. Its physical construction combines 0.2mm silicon steel laminations, N45H high-temperature magnets and imported NMB heavy-duty bearings designed for over 1,000 hours of service life. The laminations reduce eddy current losses and core heating, while the 220°C magnet wire supports winding insulation and thermal resistance. Its slot/pole configuration is 12N14P, with rotor balance specified at ≤5mg.

Integration requires space for a motor measuring 49 mm in diameter by 65.5 mm, weighing 290 g with its cable. The motor has a 6 mm shaft, M6 propeller mounting holes and 600 mm of 14AWG wire. Its recommended setup uses a 4–8S 80A ESC and a 13/15 inch propeller. Electrical specifications distinguish 604.5 W rated power from 2,044 W maximum power, alongside 66.4 A peak current and 6,535 g maximum thrust. Protection is rated IP42; the 220°C rating applies specifically to the wire.
