Product overview
The PeakFPV Thor T89 is an analog FPV video transmitter for drone video systems. Its 8.0–8.8GHz operating band offers 40 channels and five selectable output levels: 25mW, 200mW, 800mW, 1000mW, and 4000mW. Applications include racing near buildings or in stadiums, multi-pilot events, and long-range operation over open terrain. For long-range use at 4W, the transmitter is paired with a matching high-gain antenna and receiver in flat, open settings such as deserts or over water. Its higher output helps compensate for free-space path loss at 8GHz.
The transmitter measures 47x36mm, weighs 34g, and requires a 16-28V DC supply. SmartAudio or Tramp support enables channel, band, and power adjustment through the goggles’ OSD menu via a transmitter switch. Betaflight integration supports 25mW startup on the ground and automated power switching through flight modes. Installation must accommodate high power consumption and thermal output; 800mW or 1000mW settings balance cruising needs with heat and battery life. The supplied configuration comprises the transmitter, user manual, and mounting accessories, packaged in an anti-static bag within a foam-padded box.
