Product overview
The Aero Future W2 combines a duty shoulder light with an integrated drone remote identification receiver for frontline law enforcement and security personnel. Its clip-mounted body measures 85.5mm × 46mm × 36mm including the clip and weighs 80g, supporting wearable use during patrols, security duties and incident response. The device combines high-brightness lighting with simultaneous sound, light and vibration alerts when a target is detected. Its built-in receiver operates on both 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz to receive nearby drones' supported RID broadcasts.
A Bluetooth-connected phone app displays drone identity, position and altitude together with pilot position, while JSON detection messages provide an integration path into Aero Future's low-altitude sensing system. The detection radius is 1.5km depending on electromagnetic conditions and terrain. Endurance is 6 hours with continuous audible and visual alarms or 10 hours in silent standby. Detection depends on broadcasts using GB42590-2023, GB46750-2025 or ASTM F3411-22a; aircraft without RID broadcasts require additional detection methods.
