Product overview
The Holybro XBP9X Radio provides a data communications link between devices, with integration features suited to flight controller connections. Its physical interfaces combine a USB Type-C port, an integrated USB-to-UART converter and a six-position JST-GH connector that supports direct connection to a Pixhawk 4 flight controller. A UART transmission LED indicates transmission activity, while a three-stage RSSI LED provides signal-strength indication. Configuration is available through Digi’s free XCTU software or through Digi AT or API commands.
Power integration includes an onboard high-voltage BEC and a DC 7–35 V supply range. USB or flight controller power is supported specifically in the 100 mW transmit power mode, making that operating condition relevant when choosing the power connection. The radio combines 256-bit AES encryption with DigiMesh networking for data redundancy and reliability. Its stated range reaches up to 65 miles under RF line-of-sight conditions, alongside strong interference blocking capability and certification for the unlicensed 900 MHz band.
