Product overview
The Holybro PM02D Power Module (2S-12S) supplies regulated battery power to Pixhawk 5X and 6X flight controllers while measuring battery voltage and current consumption. Power and monitoring connect through a six-pin cable, with measurements transmitted digitally over I2C. Its onboard switching regulator delivers 5.2V at up to 3A from LiPo batteries up to 12S (HV). This makes it a power and sensing component for integration into an aircraft, with a specified module weight of 20g.
The supplied assembly combines XT60 connectors, 14 AWG silicone wiring and shrink tubing for physical protection. The package includes one PM02D module and one six-pin, 2.00mm-pitch cable. Its Molex CLIK-Mate wire-to-board connector has a 2.00mm pitch and a 3.0A rating per contact. Procurement must distinguish the PCB ratings of 60A continuous and 100A for less than 60 seconds from the supplied wiring ratings of 30A continuous and 60A for less than one minute. Higher current requires corresponding changes to plug type and wire size.
Integration requires a compatible digital power-module interface: the PM02D supports Pixhawk 5X/6X controllers and excludes controllers using analog power modules, including Pixhawk 6C and Mini, Pixhawk4 and Mini, pix32 v5, and Durandal. It is not designed to power servos; those require the aircraft’s ESC/BEC. For the HV version, firmware support covers PX4 and ArduPilot 4.4 or later, and setup requires enabling SENS_EN_INA228. The maximum current-sensing specification is 327A, distinct from both the PCB and supplied wiring current ratings.
