Product overview

The Holybro Pixhawk 6X (Rev 3) provides flight-control hardware built around the Pixhawk FMUv6X and Pixhawk Bus standards, with PX4 firmware pre-installed. Its architecture separates the IMU, FMU and base system through 100-pin and 50-pin connectors. The STM32H753 FMU combines a 480MHz Arm Cortex-M7 processor with 2MB flash and 1MB RAM, alongside an STM32F103 IO processor. Three IMUs and two barometers operate on separate buses, with isolated sensor power control, vibration isolation and onboard resistors for IMU temperature control.

Installation space depends on the selected baseboard. The controller module measures 38.8 x 31.8 x 14.6mm and weighs 23g; the Standard baseboard measures 52.4 x 103.4 x 16.7mm and weighs 51g, while the Mini measures 43.4 x 72.8 x 14.2 mm and weighs 26.5g. External integration includes an SPI5 sensor bus with two chip select lines and data-ready signals, plus Ethernet communication with mission computers through an integrated Microchip PHY. Operation requires the controller module and a baseboard together.

Standard and Mini sets combine the controller module, corresponding baseboard, PM02D HV power module and cable set, with M9N or M10 GPS included in the GPS-equipped configurations. The module-only configuration has no GPS. M10 GPS requires PX4 1.14 or newer, or ArduPilot 4.3 or newer. Electrical integration must accommodate the 6V maximum input, 4.75~5.25V USB supply range and 0~36V servo rail input. Telem1 has a 1.5A output current limiter; all other ports share a separate combined 1.5A limit.
