Product overview
The HEQ K40T Quad-Sensor AI Gimbal Camera is a UAV sensing payload for thermal inspection and surveillance. Its architecture combines wide-angle and telephoto visible-light cameras, a thermal camera and a built-in laser rangefinder on a three-axis mechanically stabilized gimbal. The wide-angle camera provides broad scene coverage, while the telephoto camera supports observation of distant details. Visible and thermal imagery can be combined through fusion imaging, with split-screen viewing and synchronized recording available for workflows that need both image types.
Integration requirements include a 290g ±5g payload mass, a 12V-18V supply and 12W power consumption. Ethernet, serial port and SBUS interfaces provide connection options, alongside HEQ Proprietary Protocol and MAVLink communication. The gimbal supports target recognition and automatic tracking. Its software-controlled travel is limited to pitch from -90° to +30° and yaw from -120° to +120°, within wider mechanical travel limits. Maximum control speed is 180°/s, and the specified angular vibration range is ±0.005°.
The imaging configuration includes 48MP wide-angle and telephoto cameras and a 640 × 512 thermal detector. Optical zoom is 11×, with 160× hybrid zoom also specified. TF card photography uses JPG, defaulting to 12MP with up to 48MP available; video uses MP4, with 12MP @30fps specified. Thermal temperature measurement depends on gain mode: −20°C to +150°C at high gain and +100°C to +650°C at low gain. Laser ranging covers 5-1200m with ±1m accuracy. Environmental specifications are IP54 and an operating temperature range of -40℃ to +65℃.
