The GEPRC TAKER S80 8S BLS 80A ESC is a single electronic speed controller available as an ESC or with a cooling case. Both configurations accept 3-8S LiPo input and support Dshot 150/300/600, with compatibility for BLHeli_S and BlueJay firmware. The continuous current rating is 80A, while the 85A burst rating applies for five seconds. A self-contained MOS heat sink handles cooling under high current loads. Ammeter functionality is not supported, so that function is unavailable from either configuration.
Installation dimensions and weight differ between the two configurations. The ESC without a case measures 31.55×54.6mm, has 29.6×48.55mm mounting holes and weighs 13.7g. The case version specifies an ESC measuring 32.5x55mm with 29.6×48.5mm mounting holes, a 36x76mm PC case and a weight of 68.8g. Its custom-molded case uses a hollow design for heat dissipation. These configuration-specific dimensions define the board footprint, mounting pattern and case space to accommodate when selecting the version for an installation.
Both packages supply one TAKER S80 8S BLS 80A ESC, a 50V 2200μF capacitor and one red and one black 10AWG power lead, each 240mm long. The case version identifies these leads as silicone wire with a 3.4mm² cross-section. Each package also includes a 2.54mm Dupont 2P single-end socket connector cable: 110mm with the case and 150mm without it. The case package adds black molded upper and lower case parts and eight Grade 12.9 M2*7 round head hex socket screws with black nickel plating and pre-applied glue.
