GEPRC ELRS NanoSE Receiver

By GEPRC ↗

The GEPRC ELRS NanoSE Receiver is a compact 2.4GHz ExpressLRS receiver for drones with limited space and weight capacity. Its integrated ceramic antenna, 0.4g weight and 25Hz-500Hz refresh range suit compact installations. Integration requires 5V power, compatible transmitter firmware and attention to a documented startup issue on some F4 flight controllers.

Product overview

The GEPRC ELRS NanoSE Receiver provides an ExpressLRS radio-control link for drones with limited installation space and tight weight budgets. Its 12.1mm*10.4mm assembly weighs 0.4g and combines ESP8285 and SX1281 chips with an integrated SMD ceramic antenna. The receiver operates in the 2.4GHz ISM band, accepts a 5V input and supports a refresh-rate range of 25Hz-500Hz. Wi-Fi firmware updates support maintenance after installation. This is a receiver component supplied with connection accessories for integration into a drone.

The package contains one NanoSE receiver, two heat-shrink tubes, four silicone cables in black, red, yellow and green, a four-pin header, an instruction manual and a sticker. Betaflight integration uses Serial Rx on the selected UART and the CRSF receiver protocol. Supplied 2.x firmware requires matching transmitter firmware because it is incompatible with 1.x. Some F4 UART2 connections can hold the receiver TX line low at startup, forcing bootloader mode and preventing operation; a suggested workaround uses a 300ohm-1kohm pull-up resistor to 3.3V.

Included equipment1 x NanoSE receiver; 2 x heat-shrink tubes; 4 x silicone cables (black, red, yellow, green); 1 x 4-pin header; 1 x instruction manual; 1 x sticker.
Receiver configurationEnable Serial Rx on the corresponding UART and select a serial-based receiver with CRSF.Flight-controller integration using Betaflight.
Startup integration limitationSome F4 UART2 connections can hold the receiver TX line low during startup, forcing the ESP into bootloader mode and preventing normal receiver operation; a solid LED accompanies this condition. Some F4 flight controllers using UART2; receiver TX line held low at power-on.
Pull-up resistor workaroundSuggested workaround: add a 300ohm-1kohm pull-up resistor to 3.3V on the receiver TX line. For the described receiver TX startup issue.
