The FLYSKY FS-ST8 is a radio remote controller. It is not a flight platform or an airframe kit. It transmits on the 2.4GHz ISM band using FlySky's ANT wireless protocol. Transmit power is below 20 dBm, and the controller uses a dual-antenna design. It offers 8 to 12 channels at 4096 channel resolution. Supported model types include fixed-wing aircraft, delta wings, gliders, helicopters, multirotors and FPV racing drones. It also supports cars, construction vehicles, robots and boats. Information appears on a 128 × 64 dot-matrix LCD. The black controller measures 176 × 210.9 × 82.5 mm and weighs 420g.
For integration, the controller has DSC and Type-C data interfaces and supports online updates. Firmware version 1.0.62 comes in two builds. The standard shipping build is for the potentiometer gimbal assembly. A separate build is for units modified with a Hall-sensor gimbal assembly. The controller runs on four 1.5V AA cells or a 2S battery with a JST connector. It has no charging port. The low-voltage alarm thresholds are less than 4.2V/7.2V. The rated temperature range is -10°C to +60°C, and the rated humidity range is 20% to 95%. The controller has CE certification and FCC ID N4ZST800.
