Product overview
The DYS SE2008 is a brushless propulsion motor in DYS's multirotor range, intended for quadcopter and other radio-controlled aircraft projects. Its 2300KV and 2550KV versions both support 3–5S LiPo batteries, but their detailed physical specifications differ. The 2300KV version measures 25.5 mm in diameter by 20.0 mm long and weighs 33 g; the 2550KV version measures 27.7 mm in diameter by 19.0 mm long and weighs 30 g. Both specify a 3.0 mm shaft, so selecting a version also requires accounting for its particular dimensions and weight.
Propeller selection affects thrust and electrical load. At 16 V with a 5×4×3 propeller, the specified operating points are 900 g thrust at 20.5 A for the 2300KV version and 1050 g at 27.2 A for the 2550KV version. These currents match their respective maximum continuous ratings, paired with continuous power ratings of 328 W and 435.2 W. With a 5×4.5×3 propeller at the same voltage, the tabulated currents rise to 29.7 A and 36.2 A, respectively, exceeding those continuous limits. The supported battery range therefore needs to be considered alongside the propeller and electrical load when configuring either version.
