Product overview
The MB30020 is a 20A electronic speed controller for brushless motors in radio-controlled aircraft, including multicopters and fixed-wing models. Its multicopter configuration uses updated SimonK firmware and the dedicated tgy_debug program, together with a high-stability crystal oscillator for the main controller. The unit measures 46mm long, 26mm wide and 11mm high, and weighs 22g. Its power stage includes high-power MOS devices with a separate heat sink, while a separate voltage-regulator IC supplies the microprocessor.
The MB30020 accepts DC 6–16.8V input, with a stated battery designation of 2–5S Lixx, and includes a BEC rated at 5V and 2A. Continuous output is rated at 20A, while 25A burst operation is limited to up to 10 seconds. Maximum supported motor speeds depend on pole count: 210000 RPM for 2-pole motors, 70000 RPM for 6-pole motors and 35000 RPM for 12-pole motors. At power-on, the motor does not start immediately, regardless of throttle-stick position.
