DJI Zenmuse S1

Product overview

The DJI Zenmuse S1 is an aircraft-mounted spotlight for public safety, emergency rescue, emergency repairs, traffic enforcement and equipment inspection. It supports the Matrice 400, Matrice 350 RTK and Matrice 300 RTK, with DJI RC Plus required for both RTK models. Aircraft and controller firmware must be updated to the latest version before use. The payload uses a DJI SKYPORT quick-release mount and can occupy any gimbal position on these aircraft. It weighs 760 ±10 g and incorporates three-axis gimbal stabilization.

Low-beam and dual-light modes have a 15° field of view, covering approximately 544 square meters at 100 meters; high beam has a 4° field of view, covering approximately 38 square meters at that distance. Dual-light mode combines broad coverage with high central illuminance. DJI reports maximum central illuminance of 40 lux at 100 meters on the Matrice 400 and 35 lux on the Matrice 350 RTK or Matrice 300 RTK, measured with the S1 mounted on the aircraft in dual-light mode under laboratory conditions at 25°C. DJI also reports a 500-meter effective searchlight distance in dual-light mode under laboratory conditions at 25°C; humidity and weather can affect practical results.

Controls include brightness adjustment, mode switching and a 5 Hz strobe. Two S1 spotlights mounted on the Matrice 400 can be controlled simultaneously. When an S1 and a Zenmuse H30 series payload are mounted together on the Matrice 400 and operated in dual-gimbal linkage mode, the S1 automatically fine-tunes its gimbal angle to improve beam alignment with the camera. Operating temperature is -20°C to 40°C. IP54 protection is achieved under controlled laboratory conditions and can decline with wear. Nighttime spotlight use may trigger false obstacle-avoidance responses; operation should take place in relatively open surroundings, with obstacle avoidance disabled if appropriate to the conditions. Internal fogging can occur in cold or humid environments.
