Product overview

DJI RC 2 combines flight and camera controls with a 5.5-inch, 1920×1080 touchscreen rated at 700 nits and 60fps. Its four-antenna architecture uses two internal antennas and two manually adjustable external antennas, with two transmitting and four receiving channels. The controller weighs approximately 420 g and measures 168.4 × 132.5 × 46.2 mm without control sticks; installing the sticks increases thickness to 62.7 mm. It includes a speaker but has no built-in microphone. C1 and C2 button functions can be assigned through DJI Fly.

Integration provisions comprise a USB-C port for charging and computer connection, a microSD slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2 and GPS, BeiDou and Galileo reception. Internal storage is 32GB, with approximately 21GB usable, and microSD expansion requires UHS-I Speed Grade 3 or higher cards. Supported aircraft include DJI Mini 4 Pro, DJI Air 3, DJI Air 3S and DJI Neo. Third-party app installation is unsupported. For footage management and sharing, the phone workflow uses DJI Fly, a direct Wi-Fi connection to the aircraft and QuickTransfer.

The battery configuration uses 18650 lithium-ion cells rated at 22.32 Wh, with charging input up to 9 V, 3 A. Charging takes 1.5 hours with a charger supporting that input. Operating time reaches up to three hours under the specified 25°C laboratory condition, connected to DJI Air 3 during normal flight with 1080p/60fps recording enabled. Operating temperature is -10°C to 40°C, while charging requires 5°C to 40°C. Storage temperature limits tighten as storage duration increases. Enhanced transmission requires a phone hotspot and a module installed on the aircraft.
