The DJI Matrice 4D Series Obstacle Sensing Module is an aircraft accessory for obstacle detection and avoidance, compatible with DJI Matrice 4D Series drones. Compatibility with the DJI Matrice 4 Series requires a firmware update described as forthcoming and replacement of the existing lower mounting bracket with the bracket supplied with the module. Complete installation before switching on the aircraft, tightening the screws to ensure the interface is properly sealed. After installation, connect to the internet to activate the module and install any prompted firmware update.
For use with DJI Dock 3, retighten the module's screws with the supplied hex wrench and correctly attach the lidar positioning markers to the dock cover according to the installation instructions. Keep the radome clean to maintain obstacle-sensing performance. Rain, snow, fog and dust can impair obstacle avoidance, and the aircraft cannot actively avoid fast-moving objects because of the safety system's performance limits. Fly cautiously and take manual control when necessary. With the module installed on the aircraft, its firmware is updated as part of the aircraft firmware update.
