The DJI Cendence GL800A is an aircraft remote controller weighing 1041 g, with physical buttons, adjustable control stick resistance and a built-in high-brightness LCD. Button functions are assigned through the companion app, giving physical access to app functions. The LCD displays camera parameters, flight status and battery information for both the controller and aircraft, but does not accept touch input. Its external intelligent battery and antennas are replaceable. The battery is interchangeable with CrystalSky batteries and can remain installed during charging.
USB, HDMI and SDI provide video output connections, with SDI supporting standard broadcast television signals for live television transmission. A CAN port accommodates a focus controller, DJI tracking antenna or external GPS module. Aircraft connections support a maximum of one master and one secondary controller. When Cendence is paired with a 7.85-inch CrystalSky display, the accompanying auxiliary support accessory and standard lanyard can help relieve the combined assembly’s weight. USB power output is specified separately for iOS and Android devices.
Cendence switches between 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz communications. Maximum effective signal distance ranges from 2 km to 7 km across the specified bands and regulatory standards, under conditions without interference or obstructions. Approximately four hours of operation applies only to main controller functions without powering a display. Consumption is 12 W without display power and 20 W when powering a CS550. Charging takes approximately two hours 24 minutes with a 180 W charger. Operating temperature is -20 °C to 40 °C, while charging requires 0 °C to 40 °C.
