The Digital Eagle YPO-08 combines a visible-light zoom camera, thermal imaging and a laser rangefinder in a two-axis gimbal payload. Its daytime camera provides 1080p video and 2 million pixels, with 10x optical zoom across a 4.9–49mm focal range. Thermal imaging uses a 640 × 480 detector operating at 8–14μm, with electronic zoom, digital filtering and edge enhancement. One-key switching to thermal imaging, picture-in-picture viewing and target tracking support observation across daytime and nighttime use.
The ABS assembly measures 113 × 123 × 155mm, has a 113mm diameter and weighs less than 900g. Integration requires 12V DC, with total consumption below 15W; HDMI provides video output. The gimbal offers pitch travel from +30° to -90° and 360° yaw, with stabilization accuracy better than 0.1 degree. The thermal operating range is -20°C to +60°C at no more than 95% non-condensing humidity. The camera is described for mounting on multirotor and fixed-wing drones and is packed in an aviation aluminum box.
