The CADDX Walksnail Ascent Lite VTX, model WN13-4S09B, is a digital HD video transmission set made up of a compact camera and a video transmitter. It is a component for FPV drones, RC cars and similar builds, not a flight platform. The camera uses a 1/2.8 inch sensor rated to 0.01Lux illumination and has a 147° field of view. It delivers 1080P/60fps or 720P/60fps video at a 25mbps bitrate, with a listed aspect ratio of 9:16. Average end-to-end latency is 35ms, and the maximum HD transmission range is up to 3 km. This range is aimed at entry-level DIY users flying longer routes or exploring new sites.
For integration, the camera measures 12*14*15mm and the VTX measures 30.5*30.5*3.5mm. The listed mounting-hole spacing is 25mm, and the total weight is 6g, not counting the antenna. Power enters through a JST1.0*4 power-cable connector and accepts a wide 3V~12.6V input. An HSG0.8*5 connector provides USB access. A single antenna attaches through an Ipex-1 connector. The unit connects over a 4-pin UART link to mainstream F4, F7 and H7 flight controllers. Supported flight control firmware includes Betaflight, INAV, FETtec, KISS and ArduPilot, and on-screen display uses Canvas mode.
The radio works in the 5.730-5.815 GHz band and offers 3 frequency channels. Bandwidth can be set to 5M, 10M, 20M or Auto. Output power can be adjusted from 25mW to 100mW, so you can use lower settings for close-range indoor flying and higher ones for longer outdoor flights. EIRP depends on the regulatory region: under 20dBm under FCC/SRRC and under 14dBm under CE. The package includes one Ascent Lite set, one antenna, one 4-pin power cable, four silicone pads, one screw pack, one USB upgrade cable, one manual and one packaging box.
