Bytech Technology Co., Ltd.’s AQUARIUS ST40 is a drone-mounted water sampling system for scientific analysis, environmental monitoring, ecological protection and public interest litigation. Its architecture combines a compact device host, a millimeter-wave height sensor and a separate sampling container, with an emergency rope release for retrieval problems such as aquatic-plant entanglement. The host measures 162 × 120.5 × 66 mm and weighs 665 g. ABS and aluminium alloy form the host structure, while the container materials are acrylic and metal.
Integration uses DJI SkyPort V2, DJI SkyPort V3 or E-PORT electrical interfaces, with DJI Matrice 400 and Matrice 350 RTK listed as supported aircraft. The drone supplies power and provides remote control; control distance follows its link. A quick-release connection supports one-handed removal and attachment of the sampling apparatus. The standard intelligent sampling cloud platform supports automatic sampling, operation records and report generation. Container configurations comprise 1 L, 1.5 L and 2.0 L options, plus a 1 L metal container with Teflon coating.
Sampling functions include automatic depth-controlled intake, semi-automatic and manual modes, with a specified intake depth of 0–30 metres and speed of 10 m/min. Millimeter-wave sensing measures aircraft height above the water, while the water distribution structure supports controlled sample distribution and retraction. A 3-megapixel camera, red and blue strobes, and lighting are also specified. Electrical requirements are 24 V and 4 A, with rated power below 96 W. The system carries an IP55 rating and an operating temperature range of -25°C to 55°C.
