Product overview

The BWSENSING BW-VG55 is a CAN-interface inclination sensor for dynamic and static measurement, with applications including UAVs, robotics, platform stabilization, vessels and machinery. Its processing includes nonlinearity and orthogonality compensation, gyroscope drift compensation, a special bias-tracking algorithm for drift elimination and high-performance Kalman filtering. The measurement range covers pitch angles of ±90° and roll angles of ±180°, with 0.01° resolution. Accuracy is specified separately for the two measurement modes: 3° during dynamic measurement and 0.3° during static measurement.

The packaged sensor measures L55 × W37 × H24 mm, while the bare-board version measures L33 × W27 × H6 mm. Bare-board length and width may vary by ±1 mm; actual dimensions govern. Electrical requirements are 5–12 V DC and 30 mA operating current, with a 40 mA maximum. Startup delay is below 50 ms and maximum output frequency is 100 Hz. Serial communication rates span 2400 to 115200 baud, using a binary high-performance output protocol. Operating temperature is −40 to 85°C, and storage temperature is −55 to 100°C.
