Company overview
ZOHD Avionics Co., Ltd. is based in Guangdong, China. The company specializes in producing fixed-wing aircraft for first-person-view flying and aerial imaging, using EPO, EPP and EPS foam materials. Its company profile describes exports to European and North American markets as accounting for most of its products.
The company develops aircraft under its ZOHD and SonicModell brands. Its team includes structural engineers, aircraft designers, pilots and manufacturing supervision, alongside sales and marketing staff. It also offers research and development for OEM and ODM customers in China and overseas under nondisclosure agreements.
Its named aircraft range includes Skyhunter, AR Wing Pro, Altus VTOL and Binary Twin Air Plane. These provide concrete examples of the company's aircraft portfolio, spanning a flying-wing model, a vertical-takeoff model and a twin-engine model.
The SonicModell AR Wing Pro supports first-person-view camera equipment through dedicated nose and main-hatch bays for the DJI HD Air Unit System. The documented design accommodates that system without cutting or do-it-yourself modifications.
The ZOHD Altus uses a twin-engine structure with removable main and tail wings that can be assembled without tools for transport to outdoor flying sites. Its description specifies a VTOL kit for the vertical-takeoff configuration.
