Beijing Baicaibang brings its background in mobile communications to the SkyCells drone range. The company describes this product line as an extension of its experience in cellular communications, combining communications technology with drones for civilian applications.
Its own development work includes a SkyCells tethered-drone emergency communications solution using a Mesh network relay. Baicaibang brought this system to the Emergency Mission 2021 earthquake-response exercise, where it supported long-distance transmission and audio and video dispatch. This provides a documented example of its drone technology serving rescue communications.
Baicaibang also deployed personnel and SkyCells tethered-drone emergency communications equipment in response to flooding in Henan. Working under the coordination of emergency authorities and telecommunications operators, its team travelled to the affected area with the drone equipment and portable satellite backpack stations.
