Makerfire is a Shenzhen-based company founded in 2013 that develops, produces and sells open-source drone hardware, intelligent hardware, complete drones and accessories. Its business spans youth STEAM and maker education, drone competitions, commercial formation performances, and industry applications in firefighting, forestry and inspection.
Its educational hardware range includes LiteBee Wing, a building-block drone introduced in 2019 that supports graphical programming and Python code; the LiteBee Wing FM formation flight set, introduced in 2020; and LiteBee Stars, an indoor and outdoor drone formation set launched in 2021. Other educational models include LiteBee Brix III, LiteBee Sky and LiteBee Bot. Makerfire has also developed racing drones, including Falcon 300, BIBI BIRD 210 and the indoor brushless Armor 90.
Makerfire combines its educational aircraft with programming software, teaching programs and competition support. Its formation drones also serve live events: LiteBee Stars drones took part in the opening ceremony of the Dubai Super Cup final in 2023.
