SinoHawk Power Technology Co., Ltd. is based in the High-End Equipment Manufacturing Park in Neijiang's High-Tech Zone, Sichuan, China. Established in December 2021, it develops and manufactures small and medium-sized aviation engines and drones, alongside small gas turbines, electric compressors, turbochargers and thermal management systems. Its named turbojet range includes HJ50, HJ80, HJ100, HJ110, HJ120, HJ150, HJ160 and HJ200. The HJ50 is designed for small and medium-sized drones and high-speed aircraft platforms, combining a single-stage centrifugal compressor with an axial turbine. It uses electric starting and integrates its control system into the engine body. Maximum thrust is specified as 58 daN, with a weight of 5.5 kg, a diameter of 177 mm and a length of 460 mm.
The HJ50 has a specified maximum starting altitude of 4,000 m and maximum flight altitude of 12,000 m, with a maximum flight speed of Mach 0.9. Its operating temperature range is -40 to 55 degrees Celsius, and its maintenance interval is 25 hours. Maximum rotational speed is 83,000 rpm; fuel consumption at maximum rotational speed is specified as 1.81 L/min, with specific fuel consumption of 1.50 kg/(daN·h).
