FeiyuTech was founded in August 2007 and is headquartered in Guilin, Guangxi, China. Its hardware spans camera, smartphone and action-camera stabilizers, fixed-wing and tethered drones, flight-control systems, model-aircraft stabilization units and aerial gimbals. Its early development focused on inertial attitude measurement, leading to an attitude and heading reference system in 2008 and a fixed-wing flight-control system in 2010. Documented drone applications include aerial photography, surveying, forest mapping and tree monitoring.
In 2013, FeiyuTech adapted its aerial gimbal technology for handheld filming with the G3 action-camera stabilizer. Its imaging range subsequently expanded to the SPG and Vimble smartphone stabilizers and AK professional-camera stabilizers. The FeiyuPocket2 and Pocket2S combine cameras with three-axis stabilization; the Pocket2S uses a separated camera-and-body design with magnetic mounting options for wearable, vehicle-mounted and model-aircraft filming. The company introduced TS-series heavy-payload transport drones and F-series motor propulsion systems in 2025.
