Founded in 2017 in Shanghai's Zhangjiang Science City by a team of PhDs returning from Germany, the company produces high-precision MEMS capacitive pressure sensors, MEMS microphones and photoacoustic CO2 sensors. Its sensors are used in drones, smartphones, smart wearables and smart home appliances, giving its hardware range applications across both aerial platforms and everyday electronic devices.
The company's drone-focused hardware includes the LQBP001TA, a high-precision capacitive pressure sensor intended for drones. This component sits within Luqin's broader MEMS sensor business. In 2020, the company established a 2,000-square-meter dust-free production facility in Suzhou High-tech Zone, with a monthly production capacity of 25 million units. Cumulative shipments across its MEMS sensor range have exceeded 280 million units; that total covers the sensor business as a whole.
