The ZnSe Window, model GIAI8888, is a pale-yellow zinc selenide window with dimensions given as 35 mm in diameter and 2.0 mm thick. Its high transmission in the 8–14 μm long-wave infrared band supports infrared imaging applications, including drone thermal imaging pods, night detection and temperature measurement inspections. Other uses include nighttime security surveillance and protection of laser infrared optical paths.
