Its core research and development team includes members from Central South University and Hunan University, with more than 30 years of experience in visual intelligence research and development. Its own visual intelligence chips include the U30 and U31, with combined cumulative shipments exceeding 10 million units.
The company's component range includes optical flow modules, laser ranging modules, integrated optical flow and laser modules, and VIO visual navigation modules. These cover optical motion sensing, distance measurement and visual navigation within its focus on drones and robotics. Alongside its chip and algorithm development, this module range gives Upix a hardware offering that extends from individual visual intelligence chips to sensing and navigation components. The company also reports collaboration with more than 300 university laboratories.
