Company overview

ACUS is a Shenzhen-based company founded in 2016 that combines time-of-flight sensor research and development with manufacturing and sales. Its work spans optoelectronic sensor integrated circuits and system integration, with a focus on sensing for robots, drones and other intelligent equipment. Alongside its Shenzhen headquarters, the company has branch offices in Chengdu, Guangzhou, Wuhan and Xi’an. Its broader hardware range includes optical distance sensors, millimeter-wave radar chip calibration and integration systems, and high-precision satellite navigation modules.

The time-of-flight range includes CYCLOPS, a single-point sensor module; ARGUS, a multipoint sensor module; and CR-E, a full-direction-rotation sensor module. ACUS develops single-point and multipoint optical ranging modules that measure distance using the flight time of light pulses. Applications across its ToF range include distance sensing, obstacle and environmental perception, gesture recognition, two-dimensional and three-dimensional measurement, and map reconstruction. These functions serve civilian uses in robotics, automotive systems, smart homes, security and object detection.

For robots and drones, ACUS also develops integrated systems for intelligent navigation, environmental perception and modeling. Its core products have been applied in agricultural crop-protection drones, connecting its sensing and navigation work with agricultural operations. The company maintains talent and research cooperation with universities including Beihang University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Xidian University and South China University of Technology, and provides direct customer service through a sales and support network in key regions of China.
