Product overview
The ZC500 is a multipurpose tandem twin-rotor unmanned helicopter developed by Zhongchuang Aviation Technology (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd., a Zhejiang company founded in 2013 that develops, produces and sells industrial unmanned helicopters. Its technical team began working on helicopter flight controls and flight platforms in 2008. The ZC500 followed a project initiated in 2014, the ZC45 and its matching Lingxiang flight control system developed in 2017, and the ZC300 introduced in 2019. The ZC500's development involved 7 years of research, development and testing.
The ZC500's tandem rotor arrangement provides a broad longitudinal center-of-gravity range and substantial space for carrying cargo. This configuration accommodates changes in load size and mounting position with less need for precise center-of-gravity rebalancing, making it useful for material delivery and emergency rescue tasks where loading time matters. The aircraft is specified with fiberglass material, a red finish and dimensions of 9.6 m / 4.8 m / 1.9 m. Other civilian applications identified for Zhongchuang's ZC series include emergency communications, forest firefighting, lifting for power infrastructure and logistics support.
