Product overview
The LUOWAVE LW-N210 is a modular software-defined radio platform for advanced signal processing, with one transmit and one receive channel. Its Xilinx Spartan 3A-DSP FPGA and embedded 32-bit RISC soft core provide two locations for implementing custom functions. Interchangeable RF daughter boards determine frequency coverage within the DC-6GHz range. The supplied configuration depends on the package selected: the LW-N210 alone, or the platform with one UBX-LW40 daughter board offering 10MHz-6GHz coverage and 40MHz bandwidth.
The unit measures 22.5 × 16.5 × 6.2 cm and weighs 1.4 kg, establishing its physical integration footprint. Gigabit Ethernet provides host connectivity, with maximum transfer rates of 50/25 MSps for 8-bit/16-bit formats, respectively. A MIMO expansion interface enables multiple LW-N210 units to synchronize into a fully coherent multichannel system for multi-antenna wireless communication. The platform also incorporates a TCXO, specifies local oscillator accuracy of 2.5ppm and supports GNU Radio.
Electrical integration requires a 6V DC input. Current is 1.3A, or 2.3A with a WBX daughter board, and the operating temperature range is 0-55°C. RF characteristics include 15dBm output power, 0dBm IIP3 and a 5dB noise figure. The -35/50dBc single-sideband mirroring/LO rejection rating applies when paired with WBX-LW. At 1GHz, phase noise is -96 dBc/Hz at 1kHz offset, -103 dBc/Hz at 10kHz and -110 dBc/Hz at 100kHz.
