Product overview
The AXR 8820 SSG-D is a standard servo for model steering, control-surface movement and mechanical actuation. Its construction combines a coreless motor, stainless steel gears and two bearings in a 35.5 × 15 × 29.9 mm package weighing 42 g. A 300 mm cable provides connection reach within the installation. Integration requires matching the mounting holes and servo-arm connection as well as the electrical supply; mounting components need the final installation drawing because dimension references can differ.
The servo accepts 4.8–8.4 V power and PWM control at 333 Hz. At 8.4 V, its specified stall torque is 20 kg·cm and no-load speed is 0.081 s/60°, while rated torque is 8 kg·cm. Continuous-load selection must account for rated torque and duty cycle. Control setup also needs attention: the reference pulse is 1520 µs, but the angle mapping places zero at 1500 µs. Center and usable travel therefore depend on the controller and delivered version, with initial adjustment performed unloaded or under limited load.

| Center-position qualification | The 1520 µs reference pulse and 1500 µs position midpoint are both specified; center position and usable travel require matching to the controller and delivered version.Controller and delivered servo version determine the applicable center and usable travel. |
| Stall-torque limitation | Stall torque is not a continuous-load rating; continuous operation must account for rated torque and duty cycle.Continuous-load selection. |
| Voltage-range qualification | The operating-voltage range defines permitted supply voltage.Operation within the 4.8–8.4 V supply range. |
| Mounting interface qualification | Drawing and specification dimensions may use different reference points; mounting fabrication requires the final installation drawing and interface version.Fabrication of mounting components. |
| Integration requirements | Match power, pulse width, mounting holes and servo-arm connection. Establish center, movement direction and mechanical travel before increasing load. Allow supply headroom for transient current and avoid cable voltage drop, reverse polarity and sustained loading against mechanical stops.Initial setup with the load removed or limited. |
