The Sonicmodell HD Wing 1213mm PNP is an EPO flying-wing RC airplane designed for stable, multitask FPV flying at middle range. Its 1213mm wingspan and 536mm (21.10") length frame a spacious fuselage equipment bay for FPV gear and a large battery. The wing area is 23.5dm², with a specified flying weight of 700g and wing loading of 30g/dm². The airframe incorporates a molded grip for hand launching and foam landing sleds beneath the fuselage and wings to help protect against scratches.
Three pre-cut, covered equipment hatches across the fuselage and wings provide access for cameras, a video transmitter and GPS. Separate wing hatches provide mounting space and cooling for the transmitter and GPS. Interchangeable noses comprise a foam cone for normal flying and a hardened-coating plastic dome for FPV use, with multiple camera mounting options. Pre-molded locations accommodate optional 9g or 5g rudder servos. Factory center-of-gravity markings are beneath the wings, with a slightly forward position specified for the maiden flight.
The PNP package requires assembly and includes foam parts, an extra nose, hardware, carbon fiber tube and strips, one 2217 KV2000 motor, one 40A ESC, two 9g servos and four propellers. These comprise two 6*4 propellers for 4s operation and two 7*4 propellers for 3s operation. The PNP battery specification is 11.1V-14.8V (3s-4s), 2200-3300mAh, alongside a balance charger and 2.4G 6CH radio system specification. The separate KIT supplies the unassembled airframe parts without electronics and has its own recommended motor, ESC, propeller and battery specifications.
