Product overview
The SMD V330A is an electric vertical-takeoff-and-landing fixed-wing drone configured for environmental monitoring, inspection and mapping. Its four-motor design uses two independently tilting rotor assemblies and a lightweight, high-strength composite airframe. A large payload bay accommodates different monitoring and surveying instruments. SMD describes maximum endurance exceeding 200 minutes and a total flight range exceeding 250 kilometres; these are manufacturer claims. The aircraft also has redundant GNSS positioning, with optional dual RTK modules or a PPK post-processing module.
Environmental configurations pair the V330A with gas detection, infrared thermal imaging, visible-light cameras, a full-frame five-camera oblique imaging system, an iMX 100 medium-format orthographic camera or a multispectral camera. Gas detection supports airborne monitoring of particulate matter and gas concentrations, while thermal and multispectral imaging support water-pollution surveys and pollution-source investigations. Visible-light imaging and mapping configurations help document suspected illegal mining, industrial activity and unauthorized structures. SMD also describes ground-station route planning and optional data transmission over 4G/5G networks. The stated operating temperature range is -20 to 60 degrees Celsius, with force 7 wind resistance claimed for level flight.
