Product overview

The Foia S20 is a ground-based automatic dock that houses and charges a drone. It is not a flight platform itself. It is designed around the DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise series and supports the DJI LTE kit. It is meant for low- to medium-frequency inspection and patrol work and for emergency response, with an operating coverage radius of 3–5 km. The enclosure uses high-precision gravity centring to position the aircraft after landing. It also has a built-in communication station and weather equipment, so the dock can check flight conditions on its own before launching. Public or private deployment is supported, along with edge computing and intranet operation with BeiDou GNSS positioning.

The built-in battery management system tracks battery temperature to help extend battery life. Charging takes under 40 minutes. If a battery overheats, the dock stops charging and cools it quickly, and it raises an alarm automatically if charging goes wrong. Scheduled charging keeps the aircraft ready for missions. Once a task is issued, the aircraft takes off within 60 s. Operators can also fly it manually from a remote location. A landing algorithm that combines vision and RTK supports round-the-clock operation, including at night. A dedicated wind-resistant landing algorithm handles instantaneous gusts of up to 8 m/s during landing, and dedicated low-battery logic is designed to get the aircraft home safely.

The dock is rated IP56. It operates from -20 ℃ to 50 ℃ and can be stored from -40 ℃ to 65 ℃. Its protective treatments cover heat, cold, water, moisture, lightning, dust, rust and corrosion. An optional UPS provides more than 1 h of backup power along with lightning protection. With the optional dual-battery configuration, the aircraft can fly for up to 46 minutes. Compatible accessories include visible-light and dual-sensor (visible plus thermal) cameras, multispectral sensors, a loudspeaker, a searchlight, an RTK module, a cellular module for a 4G LTE video link, and a parachute. No external dimensions, weight or power-input figures are given.
