The Guangdong Fanya EM-999L is a fuel-electric hybrid flight platform for supply transport, emergency rescue and firefighting. Its carbon-fiber body incorporates folding arms and whole-aircraft rain and water protection. Wheelbase is ≤1900 mm. Separately, folded aircraft dimensions are less than 970 × 920 × 950 mm, and deployment takes less than 2 minutes. The industrial aviation engine provides ≥7.4 kW and requires no maintenance within 300 hours. A quick-release flight battery supports charging during flight. The fuel tank holds less than 11 L, with remaining fuel and battery charge monitored through the ground station.
Mission integration supports interchangeable electro-optical pods and quick-release installation of controlled-descent devices, firefighting projectiles, searchlights, high-power loudspeakers, dropping devices and MESH networking equipment. Higher-power communications links can also be added. Descent, projectile-deployment and laser-ranging modules are interchangeable; controlled descent enables supplies to land softly. The UAV and accessories necessary for flight can be stored in one protective case. Rated mission payload is ≥12 kg, while maximum takeoff weight is 53 kg at zero altitude. Maximum endurance is greater than 2 hours, with greater than 50 minutes specified for a 12 kg payload.
The handheld GCS integrates data, control and video links, delivering video up to 1080p at 60 fps through a controller with a 5.46-inch, 1080p, 600 nit touchscreen. It supports interconnected dual controllers, route planning and HDMI, AV and SDI outputs. Standard remote-control distance is 15 km; a customizable link supports unlimited-distance control with a 5G module. Automated functions include takeoff, landing, return and flight boundaries. Redundant sensors switch automatically upon failure, and parachute descent is optional. Operating temperature is −20°C to 50°C, maximum flight altitude is 2000 m, and maximum wind resistance is ≥ force 7.
