The Yifei Zhineng Blackbird S30 is a vertical-takeoff-and-landing fixed-wing UAV for aerial surveying, power-line inspection and pipeline inspection. Its twin-boom architecture uses a smooth fuselage-to-wing transition to reduce interference drag, together with a one-piece molded carbon-fiber composite fuselage. Wingspan is 3000mm and fuselage length is 1500mm. Modular payload mounts support equipment integration; special payloads can be accommodated through custom mount designs and nose-shell modifications. The platform supports fully autonomous flight and is designed for assembly, modification and expansion.
The standard package supplies a flight platform with one airframe set, one remote controller, one propulsion battery and one charging unit. It also includes four EF Motor motors and four EF Propeller propellers in CW/CCW configurations, an installation tool kit, a custom onboard wiring harness, a conformity certificate, an operating manual and a custom packing case. Empty weight excluding the battery is 6kg, maximum payload is 3kg and maximum takeoff weight is 16kg. UAV parameters can be customized and are subject to the delivery contract.
The S30 has a stated endurance range of 6–10 hours and a separately specified maximum unloaded endurance of 480min. Cruising speed is 80km/h, with a maximum level-flight speed of 95km/h, maximum climb speed of 5m/s and maximum descent speed of 3m/s. Maximum flight radius is 500km. Operating limits include a maximum takeoff altitude of 5500m above sea level, Force 7 wind resistance and an ambient temperature range of -20°C to 50°C. The aircraft has an IP55 protection rating.
