Product overview

The RadioMaster NEXUS-XR combines flight control electronics and an ExpressLRS receiver in a compact aluminum enclosure. Its STM32F722RET6 controller works with an ICM42688P six-axis motion sensor, while the integrated RP4TD-M receiver uses an ESP32 and two SX1281 RF chips. Two 65mm wire antennas provide the receiver’s antenna arrangement. The CNC-machined case also acts as a heat sink. At 44.70 x 26.50 x 14.30mm and 24.1g, the unit provides concrete dimensions and mass for planning installation space.

Integration connections include five UARTs, S1/S2/S3 and tail servo connections, one AUX connection and an RPM input from an ESC frequency sensor. Servo support extends up to 12V. Electrical planning must distinguish the 5–16V DC supply from the 3.6–70V external voltage telemetry input; the A-B-C serial ports provide 5V at 1.5A. Dedicated internal power supplies separate the MCU and interface rails. RF 2.2 firmware and 256MB black box storage support control configuration, logging and tuning.

The supplied configuration consists of the flight controller and installation accessories. It includes three JST-GH four-wire pigtails, a JST-GH servo adapter, a flexible USB-C extender, a Type C extension cable and a voltage telemetry wire. Three pieces of double-sided mounting tape and two pieces of heat shrink tubing support installation. The included JST-ZH1.5 “DSM” cable has a specific limitation: it carries telemetry only and does not support DSM receivers. The internal receiver supports Wi-Fi updates and a CRSF bus interface.
