Product overview
The RadioLink R8FG is an eight-channel receiver with two antennas for model cars and boats. Its FHSS radio uses a 67-channel pseudorandom hopping sequence and supports a ground-control distance of 600 m. An integrated vehicle gyroscope combines software filtering with a PID algorithm, with sensitivity controls available through transmitter mixing or the channel-eight VR control. Sub-ID selection allows control to switch between previously bound R8FG receivers, including switching to a recovery boat or taking control of a vehicle carried on a transporter.
Control connections provide either PWM on channels 1–8 or PWM on channels 1–7 with SBUS on channel 8. The receiver accepts 3–12 V, supports high-voltage servos and protects against reversed power-lead insertion. Selectable servo response is 14 ms for analog servos or 4 ms and 3 ms for digital servos. Selection requires binding to an RC8X running firmware V1.1.5 or later, choosing FHSS V2 in receiver settings and using an R8FG bearing the V2.1 label.
The supplied configuration includes the receiver, a propulsion-battery voltage telemetry cable and a packaging bag. Connecting that cable to the Telemetry port enables battery-voltage monitoring up to 8S without a separate telemetry module. Integrated telemetry also returns signal strength, RSSI and receiver voltage; signal strength and receiver voltage appear on the transmitter's main screen after power-up and binding. Nanocoating on the PCB and connector pins provides IPX4 splash protection, covering splashes onto the enclosure from any direction.
