The RadioLink LD-A40 is a 400mm brushless drone soccer aircraft intended for education, training and competition. Its enclosed protective frame surrounds the propulsion system for contact-intensive play. The structure combines hollow reinforcement, a 5 millimeter ⊗-shaped carbon plate design and modified polypropylene, with ABS armor reinforcing five frontal stress points. The aircraft supports FIDA Class 40, FAI F9A-A and the Volume F9 F9A-A provisional class. The stated international drone soccer arena space is 14×7×5 meters.
The propulsion and control configuration includes SZ-SPEED 2408-1850KV motors, GEMFAN 5-inch 5055S-3 propellers, a RadioLink 70A 4-in-1 ESC and an F722 flight controller running BF firmware. A custom-molded protection bay houses the Gensace 6S 22.2V 2100mAh 150C battery. Altitude Hold, Stabilize, Turtle and Air modes support different playing roles, with Turtle Mode providing self-righting after a rollover. An R16SM 16-channel receiver handles radio control, while a detachable 40-LED, seven-color strip and tail light provide programmable visual identification.
The supplied configuration is an equipped flight platform with a T12D transmitter, flight battery, HOTA T6 charger, tools, upgrade cable and spare hook and spring. The dual-channel charger specifies up to 300W, 15A charging current and 94% operating efficiency. Takeoff weight is 1153g; flight time is six minutes and control distance is 3000 meters under good flight conditions. Battery monitoring triggers a transmitter alarm below 22.0V and automatic landing at 21.5V. The CM210 transmitter battery charger and CB86-PLUS balance charger are optional accessories.
