Product overview
The MAD AM32 70A 2-8S ESC is an electronic speed controller for integration into FPV propulsion systems. Its electrical specification supports 3-8S LiPo batteries at 11.1V-33.6V, with 70A continuous current and approximately 90A burst current for five seconds. The controller uses open-source AM32 firmware and accepts DShot 300-1200, Multishot and PWM control signals. Bidirectional DShot provides RPM telemetry, while active freewheeling reduces heat and the PWM frequency can be adjusted up to 48kHz.
Recommended integrations cover 5-inch freestyle, 7-inch long-range and cinewhoop applications, with distinct motor, battery and tuning combinations. The freestyle pairing uses a 2306 1950kV motor with 6S and a 48kHz frequency cap for smooth throttle. The long-range pairing uses a 2507 1200kV motor with 8S and calls for close ESC temperature monitoring. For cinewhoops, the recommended combination is a 1404 3800kV motor with 4S, with timing lowered to 12°. These combinations are integration recommendations.
