Product overview
The Kimpok KP-T1220B is an analog video transmitter for drone FPV integration. Its 1.2GHz radio covers 1080MHz-1360MHz with eight channels and switchable 25mW/2000mW output. The 25mW setting supports bench testing, initial setup, takeoff and landing. Switching to 2000mW for long-range flight requires the drone to be airborne and clear. At 2W, its video-link distance approaches or exceeds 20-30+ kilometers under ideal line-of-sight conditions. Channel selection allows operators to choose a clearer frequency and coordinate separate systems.
The transmitter measures 40x37x13mm, weighs 16g and has an SMA antenna connector. Installation space must accommodate a substantial heatsink and forceful, direct airflow, such as propeller wash. Electrical input is 7-36VDC, 2-8S, with a dedicated switching BEC or regulator required to supply 3.5A to 4A+ cleanly at the input voltage; 12V is an example. The 2000mW setting produces intense heat, and thermal failure can occur rapidly without active cooling. These power and cooling requirements are central to its integration.
The supplied package contains the transmitter, user manual and mounting accessories in an anti-static bag within a foam-padded box. This is a video-link component for installation in a drone. It requires a tuned, matched transmitting antenna; a poor or mismatched antenna can cause immediate catastrophic failure. Distant reception requires a sensitive, high-gain directional ground antenna. High output increases interference potential over a wide area. The unit has CE certification and a one-year warranty. Operating at 2W requires a valid amateur radio licence in virtually all jurisdictions worldwide.
