Product overview

The ISDT B80 provides charging, discharging and storage tasks for LiFe, LiPo, LiHv and ULiHv batteries, with both custom settings and preset battery parameters. Its physical footprint is 356 × 136.8 × 164.1mm, and it weighs approximately 3973g. Electrical integration requires AC 100–240V input and a battery within the DC 20–80V output range. Supported series counts are 8–22S for LiFe and 6–18S for the other three chemistries. A balance-port connection enables individual cell voltage monitoring and balancing during lithium battery charging.

Charging output depends on the AC supply: maximum power is 3000W at 220V, 1500W at 110V and 1400W at 100V. Charging current spans 1.0–40.0A, while discharge capability is limited to 200W and 0.5–5.0A. The B80 supports BattAir and alarms for abnormal battery voltage and incorrect series count. Unbalanced charging produces a warning before starting. Operation requires 0°C–40°C conditions and supervision; when a lithium battery’s permitted charging rate is unknown, the charging current must be set no higher than 1C.

Task configurationCustom tasks and preset charging, discharging and storage tasks
Battery charging current calculationPermitted charging current equals charging C-rate multiplied by battery capacity; the stated example is 1000 × 5 = 5000mA = 5ABattery rated at 1000mAh with a permitted charging rate of 5C.
Charging current restrictionSet charging current no higher than 1CLithium battery with an unknown permitted charging C-rate.
Charging time guidanceCharging time ≥60 minutes divided by charging C-rate; approximately 60–70 minutes at 1C, potentially longer depending on battery conversion efficiencyCharging at 1C; battery conversion efficiency can extend the duration.
Balance connection and unbalanced charging warningBalance-port connection is strongly recommended for individual cell voltage monitoring and balancing; unbalanced charging triggers a warning before the task startsLithium battery charging; unbalanced mode leaves the battery balance port disconnected.
