Product overview
Huizhou WES New Energy's 22000mAh 8S1P LiHV LiPo Battery Pack belongs to the Gen 3 Heavy-Lift tier of the WES High Performance Drone Battery series. It powers platforms that carry payloads of 15kg or more, such as cargo, long-range inspection and large-scale agricultural spraying aircraft. Eight lithium high-voltage polymer cells are wired in series in one string. That gives 30.8V nominal and up to 34.8V at 4.35V per cell. Capacity is 22000mAh, or 677Wh. With a weight of 3046g (±30g), that works out to 222 Wh/kg. A single pack can replace a dual 6S setup.
The pack measures 83 × 92 × 205 mm. Main power runs through an XT90 connector, and a JST-XH lead handles balancing and telemetry. The battery is rated for 15C (330A) continuous and 25C (550A) pulses of up to 10 seconds. Under 330A continuous load, it holds above 29.5V down to 85% depth of discharge. Cells are matched to within 0.8mΩ internal resistance and 100mAh capacity. Before shipment, each pack runs a burn-in test at 250A for 30 minutes. This is a non-smart, open-platform battery. Aircraft built around smart-battery bays need external power distribution. Buyers should also check that their battery bay is large enough.
Charging limits matter. To reach full capacity, the charger must use LiHV mode. In standard LiPo mode at 4.2V per cell, usable capacity drops to about 20,500mAh. The recommended charger has a dedicated LiHV profile and at least 110A output. The maximum charge current is 110A, with 5C recommended. Cycle life is rated at 400 or more cycles at 80% depth of discharge under a 300A load. Real-world heavy-lift use typically gives 280–350 flights before capacity falls below 80%. Storing packs at 3.85V per cell and avoiding long exposure above 45°C extends service life.
