Product overview
The Hi-Target SVR3 supports UAV-based monitoring of water-surface velocity and discharge. Its architecture brings together an aerial platform, radar sensors, a three-axis stabilized gimbal and cloud services. The velocity radar measures the water surface without contact and senses flow direction. The gimbal maintains the instrument's attitude and pointing direction, supporting stable measurement during strong winds. This arrangement gives the radar a controlled orientation while the aircraft positions it over the intended measurement locations.
The three-in-one discharge instrument integrates separate velocity and water-level radars with a camera. It records measurement data while capturing water-flow imagery at the measurement point. The velocity-only configuration combines velocity sensing and a camera, so the two configurations have different sensor complements. Flight-route optimization uses aircraft altitude, measurement angle and flow-measurement verticals. After cross-section information is imported, calculated waypoints align the measurement positions with those verticals, addressing the positional offset introduced by the radar's viewing angle.
The integration workflow includes the DJI Pilot mobile app for live velocity, water-level and water-surface video monitoring. Data also synchronizes to a command-center web interface for remote observation. The platform accepts cross-section data tables, places sections on a map and generates section diagrams. Returned velocity and discharge records are stored in the UAV management platform for playback and report generation. Obstacle avoidance uses returned video, with the stated purpose of avoiding obstruction to navigation during measurement operations.
