The Hi-Target PM-1500 is a laser measurement system for mounting on an aircraft. Its laser scanner supports multiple returns and reaches a point rate of up to 2000 kHz and a scan speed of up to 400 lines per second. The scanner uses parallel-line scanning, which spreads the point cloud more evenly, and a widened 75° downward field of view covers a broader effective swath. Measuring range reaches 1650 m, and absolute system accuracy is better than 5 cm. Typical uses include basic topographic and cadastral mapping, transport corridor surveys, power-line inspection, forestry inventory and disaster monitoring.
All sensors sit inside a rigid precision structure, and the main unit weighs 4.4 kg. The connections to the main unit are reduced to a single cable to make installation easier. The positioning engine has 555 channels and supports all-constellation, multi-frequency solutions using BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS and IRNSS signals, along with satellite-based differential corrections. A TF card slot lets operators swap storage quickly without interrupting work. The rated operating temperature range is -20°C to 60°C.
Inside, the modules are stacked to cut down on internal cabling and improve reliability. Reserved external interfaces allow optional add-ons such as external inertial units of various models, different camera types and remote radios. An open software interface lets integrators build their own secondary development on the system. The PM-1500 works with Hi-Target's Hi-LiDAR post-processing software as an integrated workflow. Because the PM-1500 is a payload only, it needs a separately supplied compatible aircraft.
